Basic direction of the medium

www.fgm-koordinationsstelle.at is a joint project of the Institute for Women’s and Men’s Health, the Austrian Red Cross and the Women’s Health Centres in Linz and Salzburg. The aim of the FGM/C Coordination Centre is to be a contact point for people seeking help, experts, professionals and communities and to connect all players in the field of FGM/C.

Purpose of the association

In its national and international activities, the Austrian Red Cross aims to prevent and alleviate human suffering everywhere and at all times. It strives to protect life and health and to ensure respect for human dignity. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace among all peoples in accordance with the principles of the international Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
